Best Practice Reflection and Networking

This Thursday, May 12 we will reflect on our learning around The Seven Structures of Best Practice and have opportunities to share and grow our thinking.    Our new learning will be around Chapters 8 & 9.  We will be explore what’s possible in the schools/districts we can influence!!   Should we have time we will delve into the wonderful nuggets around some critical issues that live in many schools.

Best Practice in Content Areas -LCN Thursday

Our 1:30 to 2:45 session on this Thursday, March 10 will feature content area conversations around “Best Practice”.  Please bring your book:  Best Practice: Bringing Standards to Life in America’s Classrooms.

Please read one of the chapters exemplifying  best practice:  Reading-Chapter 3, Writing – Chapter 4, Mathematics – Chapter 5, Science – Chapter 6 or Social Studies – Chapter 7!  Lots of choices or if so inspired you may read more than one.

Happy New Year!!  This Thursday, January 7th this session will focus on Chapter 2: The Seven Structures of Best Practice Teaching in the book, Best Practice:  Bringing Standards to Life in America’s Classrooms.  We will reflect on our own practice and collaboratively examine the seven structures through the lens of what we know and do and what might be some areas for growth and intention.
